give me a break, give me a break...

Can I take a sabbatical?

Is that allowed?

Just from the bodily fluids. The pee. The poop. The spit up. The spit. The boogers. The tears. The snot. I could keep going, but I'm guessing you get the hint.

I'll keep all the hugs and kisses and smiles and coos, even some of the messes and especially the reading and playing.

Can I do that?

rats.

We are attempting to enter back into the world of potty training and it is really making me not want to deal with any of the messy crap (pardon the pun).
Here is just a small peek into my life right now:

That was the reaction when I told him to go sit on the potty after nap time yesterday. He is still napping right now, so we'll see how it goes...

I'll write more about it later after we determine if part 4 was a success or not... I'm voting for success, but who knows, I may be overruled.

Your blog makes me smile and LOL! There will (probably) be many times in the coming years you'll have that desire to take a sabbatical from parenting...! I think you named all the bodily fluids...except blood, and hopefully those will just be minor boo-boos that a cartoon bandaid, a kiss/hug and a popsicle will fix! My wise older sister encouraged me to not make too big a deal of potty "training"...the child will train himself..he knows the concept already. Just a thot. Just like some kids walk/talk earlier or later... they all do eventually.

We are just now moving into the PTing phase. I'm trying to go slowly, as my DD is a bit hesitant. But I'm ready to be DONE with diapers!

Thanks for commenting on my crockpot mac n cheese recipe today. (or was it yesterday?) You don't need to cook the macaroni noodles; you can throw them in the crockpot and there is enough liquid to cook them. Just keep an eye on it, as they do turn to mush if they cook too long. My hubs likes it that way, so it's not a big deal to us.

Hope you have a great weekend!
