To cut, or not to cut

I was really loving the way the light was hitting the girls' hair the other day while playing outside... it made me laugh a little because it kind of accentuated the craziness of Avery's hair.

If you are wondering why I keep talking about their hair it's because I have been considering getting it cut for the first time, and I'm sort of having a hard time with it.  It's the only thing left that's still baby-ish... and I'm kind of hanging on for dear life...

...that, and I can't decide if I should attempt to cut it myself, or take them somewhere else.  I have terrible memories (ok, I don't actually remember it, but I do have photographic evidence) of unevenly cut bangs as a child, and I could never do that to them... (I'm sure the fact that I never sat still for my Mom had NOTHING to do with it...)

No matter when you decide, your sweet 2- year old toddlers are no longer babies. There's often a time of sadness when one season of life ends...but a new one opens up!

Having another cut their hair allows you to be able to capture and enjoy the milestone moment in pictures. Those baby/childhood pics get more precious every year as the milestones continue to come.

I love your tender Mother's heart!

I agree with Sharie! i can't wait to see the pics ;) of the haircuts. And they just may hold still better for someone other than Mom!

no one can tell you what to do. Your uncle Paul keeps telling me to cut Trista's hair because it is so long, I just can't bring myself to do it so for now it can just grow. She is four and still I have a hard time with this
